My name is Kate J Parker and I run the website Viva La Me which inspires women (and many men) to dream big, acheive greatness, and balance life.
After 15 years working in the corporate world as a Human Resources Manager, I wanted to make a real difference to people and their careers. By helping talented people be noticed by employers.
Friends, family and acquaintances often asked for help with workplace and career issues. I realised that I have a wealth of knowledge and experience that could help others have a successful career.
Most people have the knowledge and technical capability to do their jobs well. Unfortunately they lack the skills and behaviours needed to be positively noticed as talent in the workplace.
This led to the formation of 'Ask A Human Resources Manager'; a free advice column focussed on answering questions to help people grow their careers.
