Book 1 of the Merrifield Mysteries

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read! By Bf

This mystery was well written. The development of characters thru the eyes of a writer who happen to be a retired detective on vacation put a different twist on this story. Excellent read! Will be following this author.

I loved it from beginning to end. Read this book in about 6 hours. Christine Chianti will now be an author whom I will certainly follow. She keeps you on edge in a very clever style. Without being over covert she lets you discover or uncover if you will the story as the detective is. Charming characters and smooth reading.
You just couldn't ask for more

By definition novella is short novel so with only 12 chapters this is short, sweet and so finely developed you just don't want to put the story down. Well developed characters and plot that keep you humming along with former homicide detective Laura Merrifield as she gathers evidence and data to send to the police chief on the mainland. She becomes a victim....and that's all the hint I'll give but she gets her murderer. As for whodunit.....you'll have to read this 12 chapters but you will be surprised and won't mind the read.

Misappropriated Means

Book 1 of the FBI Organized Crime Task Force series

5.0 out of 5 stars Misappropriated Means is a great read-I couldn't put it down By barb t
Format: Kindle Edition

Misappropriated Means is a great read-I couldn't put it down! The characters are interesting and the interactions among the 3 guys allow the reader to be comfortable with them. There is enough intrigue, just enough romance, and an incredibly refreshing lack of profanity. After reading this book, I read 2 more of Ms. Chianti's books. I'll find more, and soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun, easy read. By Ladybug
Format: Kindle Edition

I was one of the fortunate ones to receive an advance copy of this book. Once again, Christine has written a book with likable characters and an interesting plot. All of her stories have a little mystery and a little romance that I would not be embasassed to have a teenager read. I always look forward to Ms. Chianti's next release. She never fails to deliver.

Fiendish Fall

Book 1 of the Sleepy Hollow High series

Tanya (From Goodreads) rated it 4 Stars (really liked it)

I love that there is a mystery for tweens and young teens that contains no blood, gore, major crime, or sex. It is very heartening to find a book for this age group that speaks openly about values without appearing to preach. I love that it makes the good manners, intelligence, and ethics in the main character into qualities that are admired rather than ridiculed. I am happy to see the depiction of the family dynamics and the focus on family relationships and shared values. I love that the riddle that is the center of the mystery requires intelligence and introspection to solve. I appreciate that the budding relationship between the main character and her friend is kept age appropriate and focuses on more than just physical appeal. Overall this is an interesting and wholesome book. I look forward to more books from this author. She is a rare find.
