I have been doing alphabet anchor charts for years with my students, but I found that students would lose interest as I was taking time to draw their suggested pictures.. I wanted this activity to be student-centered and for the students to take an active role, besides giving input for matching beginning sound pictures. I decided to create individual alphabet journals for each student, so they could follow along as we created our specific letter anchor charts. It worked and now I’m sharing with you!
