Our minds have been trained to 'keep busy & distracted" and either be worrying about an imaginary future or dreaming over a past event, and in so doing, we miss the real living and the extraordinary life right before us happening in the NOW moment.
Just staying still always felt hard for me, let alone trying to meditate. I hated it . I had declared it ‘just wasn’t my thing’. My mind would wonder with all the stress & worries of daily living. But what I discovered was this, it was my unconscious ego playing games to keep my attention away from being present in the now moment. The reality of this phrase, to Be Here Now, is not a concept at all--it is a doorway into our own natural divine presence and intelligence. It is the place where you go within to find the answers you are searching for.
When I began making a habit of just getting still & silent and learned the practice of meditating, ( just 10 mins a day) , for the first time I could feel myself transforming from a human doing to a human being . It was from this practice of ‘being’ came my surrender. A reconnection to self . A place I like to call home where all the answers I need are found.
Just practicing the art of surrender & letting go has changed my life in so many ways.
