          I’m Sabrina Taylor…

          MONTH ONE - PREGNANCY - LET'S START WITH HYPNOBIRTHING

          The first month will cover Self-Hypnosis and Relaxation for childbirth (also often referred to as Hypnobirthing) which works to help undo those negative messages and replace them with positive ones.

          It teaches you simple, yet powerful techniques that will help you to birth without fear and trust your instincts as it is primarily fear that blocks the hormones we need that give us natural pain relief during labour. 

          This method will teach you deep relaxation using self-hypnosis and breathing techniques that will ensure that once labour begins your body will instinctively do what comes naturally. All sessions are tailored to your individual needs.(Each session lasts approx 2 hours).

          Week 1 – The Calm Birth School SESSION 1 – THE MIND BODY CONNECTION

          • The science behind how your brain works and get the lowdown on hypnosis and how it can help you
          • Learn The Calm Birth School breathing techniques that will be your best friend on your baby’s birthday
          • What’s really happening in your body once you go into labour (the physiology)

          Week 2 – The Calm Birth School SESSION 2 – MAKING YOUR NEST

          • How to Visualise in order to increase your chances of a calm birth
          • Creating the safest, most comfortable birthing environment – in the hospital, your home, or even a hotel suite – and how that can result in a quicker labour

          • How to start bonding with your baby even before he or she is born
          • Special circumstances: a positive birth does not have to be a natural birth – I’ll give you the lowdown on how to navigate situations that may arise if you don’t have a straightforward delivery, so you’re not left in the dark.

          Week 4 – The calm birth school SESSION 4 – MASTERING YOUR CALM BIRTH PLAN

          • How and when to use each of the techniques that you’ve learned
          • Early stages of labour – What the 7 signs are that tells you labour has begun
          • The dreaded question: Will I poo all over my partner or the birthing pool?! I will share the real truth!
          • “The baby’s out, now what?” – understand exactly what happens directly after birth

          MONTH TWO - BIRTH - LET'S DIVE A LITTLE DEEPER AND COVER SOME PRACTICAL STEPS


          Once you have become an expert in relaxation and are armed with all the tools you need, the second month will cover your post natal plan and what to include so that you have some practical ideas and steps that will make those early days as smooth as possible. We will take a deep dive into your relationships to ensure you are both on the same page and together we will have a post birth debrief. (Each session lasts approx 1 hour).

          Week 5 – Recap and check in. Session to remove any residual fears or anxiety

          • How to release and let go - three step process for letting go of unwanted feelings that are not serving you
          • Review what you have learned and how your practice is going -
          • Introduce you to your post-natal plan. What does it look like?

          Week 6 – BabyProofed Parents – Relationship MOT

          • How to avoid the tit-for-tat arguments that couples sometimes have
          • How to understand yourself and your partner better as a parents - tools that will help
          • Signs of tension in your relationship and how to make improvements

          Week 7 – Your Post natal Plan/How to support mum in the 4th

          Trimester

          • How to implement your post natal plan with ease
          • How to relieve anxieties and concerns before birth
          • How your partner can understand how you are feeling and feel empowered in your new roles as parents
          • What mums can do to support partners in this shift to parenthood because its important time for them too!

          Week 8 – Post Birth Debrief & relaxation session

          • An hour to reflect on your birth experience, voice any concerns and is for both mum and her birth partner as the partner plays an integral role.
          • How to process what happened so that you can look back positively at your birth
          • A positive relaxation that will give you a confidence boost as new parents

          MONTH THREE - BEYOND - BABY IS HERE! WHAT NOW?? IMPLEMENTING YOUR POSTNATAL PLAN


          You have mastered your mindset, learned some great tools and techniques for relaxation and you now have an idea about what you want after the baby arrives. The third month will focus on putting your post natal plan into action, breastfeeding, how to look after yourself physically and emotionally and some options for how to wear your baby. (Each session lasts approx 30mins)

          Week 9 – Breastfeeding Support - challenges and solutions & Options for self care in the post natal period

          • What to expect those first hours, days and weeks while breastfeeding
          • Getting the positioning right
          • Why a support network is essential for successful breastfeeding and how to build it
          • How long the learning curve actually is for breastfeeding
          • What supplies are most important for breastfeeding

          Week 10 – Nurturing yourself and your support network

          • What self-care practices to integrate into your fourth trimester
          • Why overwhelm is normal and what to do about it
          • What to expect to happen to your body in the 1st two weeks after birth
          • How to handle well-meaning but unsolicited advice (you know you're going to get it)

          When should we start working together?

          The optimum time to begin is from between 25-30 weeks of pregnancy. This will give you plenty of time to absorb, learn and really get your practice in.

          I’m very late in my pregnancy (past 38 weeks) will this programme be suitable?

          At 38 weeks or later, there would not be enough time to fully immerse yourself in the learning. I do offer a one off 90 minute ‘power hour session’ where you can pick my brains, ask questions and get the top tips that will help you in time for your birth. You can also purchase the ‘Beyond’ part of the programme as a stand alone package

          Do you offer payment plans?

          Yes! When you sign up, all options will be sent to you via email for you to decide what will work best for you

          I have a pretty busy life, how much time do I need to commit to this?

          It's 2 hours per week for the first month only, dropping down to weekly sessions that should last no longer than an hour. Some may be shorter, some may be longer depending on your particular circumstances. As the programme is also bespoke to you, there is some flexibility with this within reason.

          I have severe anxiety, will this programme help?

          The use of hypnotherapy to treat anxiety is considered very safe, however, please inform your care provider that you wish to access hypnotherapy/hypnobirthing so that they can best advise you.
