WELCOME! LET'S CONNECT...
We may spend 50+ years in our careers… yet sometimes it feels like we put more effort into planning holidays than into purposefully carving out our professional journey . Falling into a job rarely leads to longterm satisfaction. Sleepwalking into a career that others suggest isn’t much better. You’re capable. Determined. Grown. Isn’t it time for you to own your career ambitions and act on them? After all, if you don’t make a plan for yourself, you’ll fall into someone else’s.
Whether you have come over from social media, or a webinar, podcast or article I contributed to, you may be aware that I primarily share content with students, new(ish) graduates and their supporters in mind. Here is a foundational but important checklist that you can use on your journey from education to employment. It gives you 10 prompts which will help your process of applying for opportunities. Sign up for this and the Your Career and Future / Dive Into Your Career mailing list here.
Multi-passionate but (these days) with a consistent theme, for the last 10+ years, Gina's experience of being a careers coach has included head of careers roles in a state school and an independent school, a freelance careers consultant position (at one of the UK's leading universities) and she loves all of the above because these are all spaces in which to help students like YOU build your confidence and achieve your goals.
In recent years as a business alongside her careers roles in education, she's done lots of careers support for newlyweds (and published a career coaching book for this crowd, Happily Ever After for Grown-Ups) and also has a podcast targeted at working parents (The Creative Career Solutions for Parents podcast) - each of those representing her most recent life milestone. However, the desire to pivot to support students (as well as their parents and influencers) struck when the pandemic did and it became clear that creating this Dive Into Your Career podcast and Your Career And Future platform needs to be the focus of this side hustle, no, this movement now... so that students who resonate can embrace a careers community where they can be themselves and develop, with joy and purpose (and a good dollop of humour). Especially passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion - Gina wants to make a huge, positive difference to the black community, communities 'of colour' (sometimes known as BAME in the UK) and those who are proud allies. So, here we are. Get involved in the community through signing up for the mailing list on this page...
