Fall Deathtending Groups

With Death & Dying Companion, Alice Toohey

A 4-Week Gathering on Death, Legacy & Living With Presence offered in-person and online — September 2025

This is a gentle space to turn toward death with clarity, care, and curiosity. Each session includes discussion of a theme, guided reflection, and optional group sharing. This workshop is for anyone who wishes to approach death in a supported way with the intention leading to a more meaningful and present life. No prior experience or specific beliefs are required—just an open heart and a willingness to explore.

Together, we'll delve into the emotional, spiritual, and practical work involved in tending to both death and life, structured around four essential themes:

  • Practical Preparations: Advanced Directives Gain clarity and confidence in making your healthcare and end-of-life wishes known.
  • Legacy: What is your Offering? Explore the gifts you wish to leave behind for your community and our world.
  • After-Death Choices: Honoring Your Disposition Wishes Understand options for after-death care and make informed decisions that align with your values.
  • Living with Death Awareness: Embracing Elderhood & Impermanence Explore how contemplating our own mortality can lead to more meaning in our present life.
