with Kate Jay of 'Healing Family Eats'

This event is suitable for those on anti-inflammatory, allergen-free, Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), GAPS and Paleo diets.

I am passionate about supporting people who are interested in healing through food.

Over 2,000 years ago Hippocrates, Greek Physician and founder of modern medicine, said that all disease begins in the gut.

Since the early 20th Century, we have become a population of processed food and sugar addicts with little thought as to how our ancestors were able to live far healthier lives than we do today.

With rapidly increasing stats of cancer, autoimmune disease, diabetes, dementia and other chronic issues, now is the time to look at what we put onto our plates and into our mouths.

Join me, Nutritional Therapist, culinary trained chef and passionate wellness educator, as I demonstrate that it IS possible to enjoy foods that make us happy - without the risk of autoimmune flares, blood sugar spikes and overall inflammation. It CAN be done!

In this interactive workshop you will learn

  • How the wrong foods can create inflammation
  • How inflammation leads to chronic disease
  • Why removing inflammatory foods can quickly reduce symptoms
  • Why you don't need to give up on tasty foods and treats in order to heal

Spend the morning

  • Q&A sessions
  • Cooking demonstrations of healthy, nourishing meals you can easily make at home
  • Making a deliciously useful and speedy portable recipe you'll want to make again and again
  • Learning how to fully digest and absorb the nutrients needed to balance your body

We'll be sampling healing eats such as

  • instant pot bone broth
  • golden {turmeric} milk
  • wild salmon and prosciutto cups
  • spiced cauliflower "pilaf"
  • digestive aid salad + gut-friendly dressing
  • meyer lemon fluff
  • allergen-friendly cake (yes it can be done!)

You'll be making

  • healthy veggie pot noodle

After our cooking session, we'll sit down and have the chance to connect with each other. As we eat together you'll also learn how to fully digest and absorb the nutrients that will help bring your body back into balance.

You will receive recipe handouts to take home, as well as other relevant information.

Bring your apron, together with a notebook and pen if you like to make notes - and prepare to have some fun!
