"What do I get if I click on that subscribe button?"
Well first dear reader, you get your FREE prequel ebook:
The arrival of the Horned Man's army is the thunder that heralds the storm to come, the lightning flash that will set the Grand Kingdom alight. The stories of the Western Reach's lions don't begin there however.
Before Prentice was named Ash, he was condemned as a heretic.
Before Turley stood beside his friend at the Battle of the Brook, he was tried for horse thievery.
Before Duchess Amelia became a widow, she was a merchant's daughter seeking to better herself.
In this prequel to the Rage of Lions series, learn how Prentice, Turley and Duchess Amelia come to be in the frontier province at the right time to fight the sorcerous invaders and their monstrous leaders.
My reflections on the intersection between the Christian faith that defines me and the sci-fi and fantasy genres that I love; including discussion of some of my great Christian heroes of the genre such as JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, and GK Chesterton.
Not every writer hero of mine is a Christian, and I would be remiss to not point readers to their great works as well; expect discussions of Michael Moorcock, Robert E Howard, Elizabeth Moon, Bernard Cornwell and Frank Herbert, to name but a few.
It's taken many years to reach this point and I've got a large portfolio of other sci-fi and fantasy writings that never made it to print, including fan-fic serials, other novels and writings for hire done for gaming companies, up to and including some never published work for Wizards of the Coast. I'll be sharing these as serials in episodic form - that's right, sign up for the newsletter and get free, ongoing stories every issue.
Lions of the Reach takes place in a broader fictional setting I'm calling Memories of Far Jerusalem. (eagle eyed readers will have seen a reference to this already in Prentice Ash) Lions will be ongoing for at least five or six books, but after that, I have other stories, in other genres, such as steampunk, sword & sorcery, and sword & planet. I'll be unveiling and discussing all that in my newsletter too.
All that and Lions Before the Storm
If that sounds good, then hit subscribe, and I look forward to sharing my writing with you in the years to come.
