Henrietta Agboola is an international award winning Fashion Designer. She is the CEO and Creative Director at House of Henri Limited, a fashion company in Lagos, Nigeria, into clothing production, retail, capacity building and training for the fashion industry. She is also the Head of Faculty at Fashion and Art Academy and Easylearncollege.com, the training and skills transfer arms of House of Henri.
Amongst other recognitions, she won the award of Nigeria Best Fashion Designer of the Nigeria Fashion Show in 2005. This award has led to her representing Nigeria in the profiling of the creativity of the Nigerian people around the world, individually, and as part of the ‘Heart of Africa’ programme, a Brand Nigeria project of the Federal Government Ministry of Information and Communications. This included shows in Paris, Washington DC, Atlanta and Israel.
Henrietta is an Amazon Best Selling author of the “Garment Sewing Made Easy” series of books, “Jewelry Craft and Bead Stringing Made Easy”. and "The Ultimate Guide To Running a Profitable Fashion Business".
In 2014, she was nominated as one of a select group of six women entrepreneurs from Nigeria to undergo the VVGrow Fellowship Programme of the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network founded by Hillary Clinton. She is an alumnus of the Pan African University, University of Lagos, and Fate Foundation.
I saw your book online, placed a call, paid and bought it. I have to express how happy I am to have your book and to tell you that your work has brought my dream of knowing how to sew for myself closer to reality. I must confess, the book has really helped me a lot. I don't really know how to thank you or what to say, because I have tried searching for sewing books at the bookshops and online, but could only find sewing books on how to alter or place pattern on a fabric and cut. None could teach me how to measure parts of the body, how to make a pattern and sew as your book does. So far I have not seen any other book written that could give such details.
