Six creative categories:

Students can select from the following categories to create art work in.

Dance Choreography

This is the act of designing and arranging movements in dances.  The choreographer/  student submitting the entry can be a performer, but does not have to perform in the entry.  They simply need to be the choreographer, and can have others performing in their choreographed entry.

Film Production

This is the process of making a film.  The producer/student submitting the entry is not required to appear in the film, but if the student chooses to, a camera or tripod can be used. All screenwriting, directing, camera filming and editing must be done by the student submitting the entry.

Literature

This is the art of writing. The author/student submitting the entry is a person who expresses his or her own thoughts and ideas by using words.  Authors need to submit a single literary work (handwritten or typed), using grade appropriate, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Music Composition

This is the process of creating a new musical piece. The composer/student submitting the entry is a person who expresses their thoughts and ideas by sound. Composers may submit an entry performed by an individual or group, or make use of a digital sound library. They are not required to perform their composition.

Photography

This is the process of capturing an image. The photographer/ student submitting the entry is a person who captures their thoughts and ideas with a camera. By focusing on objects (using various lenses, filters and light sources) photographers may demonstrate the use of photographic techniques, conventionally, or digitally.
