How will enrollment work at Discovery Magnet?
Unlike traditional, district-managed public schools in 27J, Discovery Magnet will not have a boundary area. That means all students will need to apply for enrollment at Discovery.
As a magnet school, Discovery will enroll students from a much wider geographic area than neighborhood schools. To ensure all students are given equitable opportunities to learn at Discovery Magnet, applicants will be entered into a lottery selection to determine final enrollment.

At Discovery Magnet, learning is hands-on.
Discovery Magnet students learn with their teacher, together with their classmates and independently. We use science and exploration to help students engage deeper with writing, math, social studies and more.
