💥 Week 1: Getting clear on your Message.
Telling you exactly the difference between message and content and how being clear as to message, helps with every other aspect of speaking. This is great if you are new to speaking or know that you fall into the trap of downloading information or waffle at your audiences.
💥 Week 2: Creating your Speaking Strategy. Before you get started with learning to design, craft and deliver awesome presentations, you need to have a strategy. In week two we will cover how to so this step by step including how to plan for your own speaking skills development. Before you get out there and start speaking, you need to know what you want to achieve and how that fits with your business.
Week 3: Mapping your Audience. A great presentation will connect with your audience and the message will resonate and wield influence. Therefore, you need to understand your audience and make sure that every ounce of your talk is directed towards them. We will cover this is in much more detail so that you know exactly how to research your audience and then use words, phrases and stories that stick.
Week 4 and 5 : Crafting your Story . They say that the shortest distance between two people is a story. Storytelling is a key element of powerful and persuasive presentations. We cover how to choose and where to place a story as well as how to become a story-collector. This is such an important part of being a speaker that we spend two weeks exploring story. The second week, we look at the art of crafting a story so that it lands, packs a punch and does what you need it to.
💥 Week 6: Implementation Week
Catching up on all the tasks and asking any questions to get clear before going forward.
🌟 Week7: structure and sequence. Once you know why you are delivering a talk and what you are going to say, surely the structure takes care of itself? In this week we examine how you must shape the content so that it is easy to understand, memorable and persuasive. We cover how to structure, how to choose what sequence, and how to navigate the audience from one part to another.
💥 Week 8: Beginnings and Endings. Following on from the previous week, we take a deep dive into how you can get the attention of the audience from the get-go and make sure that you leave them wanting more and motivated to act. Part of this week also covers how people listen and how you can structure and deliver your talk so that you can make the most of this.
Week 9: Whole Body Presenting. It is easy to think only of the words and voice when we are speaking in public but in this week, we cover how to deliver with our whole bodies, mind and soul. This is such an important week because it breathes life into your talk and makes sure that you bring meaning into your talks and an energy that is utterly compelling to the audience. I’ll share specific techniques to help you apply this to your talks and will demonstrate these to you as well.
💥 Week ten: Voice. Your voice is the tool with which you will engage, inspire, influence, and resonate with your audiences. Most of us don’t use it to its full capacity. I know that sounds harsh! We’ll cover how to avoid being monotone, how to use pauses intentionally and powerfully and how to vary your tone to enhance the meaning of what you are saying
💥 Week 11: How to Rehearse. This is not as simple as repeating the talk over and over. I will share with you a fool proof way of approaching rehearsal and practice that means you will feel more confident in your delivery and in dealing with anything the audience might throw at you.
