Mindfulness and Mobile Phone Photography 

Workshops

Fully funded Mindfulness and Photography Sessions. These sessions are aimed to help those feeling isolated, perhaps working for themself and feeling a little lonely or anyone looking for a new way to meet new people. 

These sessions are not "therapy" sessions but will be a way to meet and connect with others in your local community and also learn a new hobby too.

Each session will be a stand alone session delivered in relaxed and informal way but with purpose too. The photography aspects of the sessions however will follow on from the previous sessions. We will explore a mindfulness technique for you to try and you will also be given a photography task to take do at home between the sessions.

These sessions are term time only. The sessions will be an hour long and will take place bi weekly (alternative weeks).

Session spaces are limited for the funded places, once these sessions are filled I will look to add another session but this will have a low cost charge to this to cover the costs.

Meet Sarah Johnson

Photography has always been a hobby I have enjoyed, a way to go out into nature and to connect with myself. I find photography such a mindful hobby and allows you time to get creative and lost in the present moment.

During periods of overwhelm or anxiety linking mindfulness techniques with photography, I believe are a winning combination for sure. 

These sessions are carefully designed to help you to take time for yourself, to become more present in the moment and build resilience skills to help you in periods of worry or anxiety. There will be signposting to additional services should anyone required additional professional help.


The sessions will be relaxed and informal and are designed to create a happiness hub for you for that hours session with take home tasks to try and explore too.


My photography challenges and groups were such a hit during the lockdowns and families used the techniques and ideas to get the whole family involved. It was suggested that I was such a break from the homeschooling stress and also compared to PE with Joe as it was something different for everyone to do.


I am a personal branding photographer, working with business owners across the area day to day but running these types of workshops and courses are a passion project for me. I am so looking forward to getting these started.
