Why Art Therapy for The Vulnerable Children?
Children who undergo traumatic experiences and overwhelming life stressors may find it difficult to express in words what they are going through. Arts therapy helps them explore and work out complicated feelings and thoughts, communicate the unspeakable, experience healing, gain self-confidence, and feel empowered to move on towards a more hopeful and happier life.
One of the RDSS beneficiaries:
Chloe Mah (F) (11) Pompe’s Disease
Chloe was born in November 2009 and was diagnosed with Pompe Disease at 7 months old. Despite the many uncertainties and fears faced initially, Chloe showed exceptional courage to fight the disorder, overcoming death several times.
Through Art Therapy, Chloe found a creative outlet for self-expression for physical and mental well-being. Art therapy has given Chloe some respite from her intensive medical treatments.
Yes! I would like to participate in the CSR event.
