A year-long journey to adore your creativity, develop a crafting community, and find creative freedom.
The point of this challenge is not to be good... It’s to be great.
To try something new and get out of your comfort zone. To abandon the idea that you’re not creative or bad at crafting.
This is about having fun and being part of a community of people that inspire each other. There is no negativity and no impossible standards to achieve- as long as you try to be creative every week, you can say that you succeeded.

Every Wednesday a new topic will be revealed.
I’ll also give some suggestions on ways that you can join, ranging from easy to more complicated. I’ll also try to include some family-friendly options so that you can get your kids involved as well!

The challenge details will come via email, with a teaser posted on instagram and on the blog that reveals the topic. You’ll have a week to gather supplies and do your projects. I purposely picked Wednesdays because it gives you a couple of days to pick a project, and then the weekend to get any necessary supplies and work on it!

How to participate
CREATE THE PROJECT OF THE WEEK
I'll be sharing some suggestions for you, but feel free to let your creativity run wild! There is no right or wrong way to do this challenge. I encourage you to step outside your confort zone when you can. And, don't overthink it! Done is better than perfect. Always try to do something, even if it's very simple. This is about small steps to a greater goal.
POST THE PROJECTS TO YOUR INSTAGRAM USING THE HASHTAG #MYMAGICMESS.
You can also send them to me on Instagram if you’re a private account so that I can see them! Be sure to comment on other people's projects with words of encouragement and make some new friends!

WHAT TYPE OF PROJECTS WILL THESE BE?
The projects will vary week by week, but the topics will be simple- things like "crayons" or "snow". From there, I'll break down some suggestions of what you can make but really, it's totally up to you with how you want to interpret the theme and what type of project to do!
DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO DO THE EXACT SAME PROJECT?
No! That's the beauty of this challenge- we'll all be doing the same topic, but well be able to translate it in our own way. Whether you want to do something complex like a multi-step project or something simple like a crayon drawing, it's all good! The goal is to participate every week however you can.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS CHALLENGE?
I'm hoping to create a community of creatives, encourage you to get out of your comfort zone, and make new friends. I want you to be able to be vulnerable, push the boundaries of your creativity, and find that you don't need to be perfect to be creative!
WHAT'S THE WORKBOOK ABOUT? DO I NEED IT?
The workbook isn't mandatory but it will be helpful! It has calendars so that you can keep track of the weekly topics and inspiring quotes to keep you going when it gets tough. There's also monthly reviews so you can be honest with yourself about how the challenge went that month, plus journal prompts to dive deeper. You can get the 88-page workbook here.
