Yoga is the perfect exercise system to help you get back a fully functional pelvic floor and core. The secret is the breath - the foundation of any yoga practice.
Once you learn how to breathe well you can sort out any dysfunction with your pelvic floor and also strengthen your core at the same time.
I didn't really believe this until I experienced it for myself. Through some simple yoga tools, I now enjoy a pelvic floor and core that I don't need to think or worry about it and I would love to share what I learnt with you so that you achieve the same.
Hey, I'm Sarah, a yoga teacher, private yoga coach and life long yoga student.
To say that yoga has changed every bit of my life is an understatement. Yoga is my best fitness and mental health buddy. It has got me through some pretty big life challenges.
I dipped in and out of yoga during my teenage years and early 20’s. I didn’t take it more seriously until my late 30’s. By then, I had reached a point in my life where I was battling little with my mental health and starting to suffer with ongoing back and shoulder pain. I used to turn to HIIT, gym studio classes and running as my way of burning off stress and keeping fit. This wasn’t working anymore as I got older. I had also by this time had 3 pregnancies which had changed my body completely. I found myself practising yoga more and more and realised that not only did it do a good job of keeping my body pretty strong and mobile, but I was feeling much better in myself.
Curious to learn more, I decided to train to become a yoga teacher and haven’t looked back since. My training taught me a style of yoga which helps to heal, reconnect, mobilise and strengthen your body. It also taught me a range of tools to help me improve my mindset and manage stress. Yoga has become my perfect body and mind MOT.
I have been studying and teaching yoga both in group classes and privately for 8 years now. I have seen at first hand just how magical yoga can be at changing peoples health and fitness physically and mentally for the better.
My passion is to get everyone moving freely regardless of their age and fitness level, free of pain and happier in their mindset and outlook on life. Yoga is the perfect lifestyle choice to achieve this and I cannot wait to share this with you.
This workshop does require you to have some yoga or fitness experience, so it will not suit complete beginners.
No no and no - age is just a number. It is never too late to sort out your pelvic floor and core health for the better.
No, I will supply all of the yoga props unless you wish to bring your own (including yoga mats). Do come in clothes that you can exercise easily in and also bring a bottle of water.
I'm scared I am going to feel or look silly.
This workshop is for a small group of fun loving, non-serious, out to have a laugh whilst moving their bodies, kinda people. Yoga is all about exploring your body and helping it to move better and feel better. Sarah will support you every step of the way and you can try as much or as little as you like. Sarah will have your back and take care of you whether you are a complete beginner or have been doing yoga for a while.
