Established in 1919, the Professional Nurses Association of Western New York promotes professional nursing and nurses in our area.
Nominees must be active members of the association to be considered, except for the Distinguished Community Nurse category.

An individual who has made outstanding contributions to the nursing profession and the field of nursing.
Nurse of Distinction in Education
A nursing faculty or staff nurse educator who has made outstanding contributions to the nursing profession and the field of health care.
Community Recognized Distinguished Nurse
This award honors a Western New York nurse who went above and beyond for their patients and community. Please note that this is a community nomination. Health care facilities, colleagues or supervisors are not eligible to nominate nurses in this category.
