From Friday through Sunday, you’ll dive deep into focused writing sessions, expert coaching, and a supportive community of like-minded writers—all in a breathtaking retreat space. Nestled along the Potomac River and flanked by a serene creek, our private haven offers a secluded sandy beach, four decks (plus a rooftop deck!), and even an elevator to all four floors.

This is more than a writing retreat—it’s a transformative experience designed to remove every barrier between you and your book. With an extra full day added, you'll have even more time to write, refine, and connect before going home Monday.

The fee for this retreat covers the cost of the experience. This includes all meals prepared for you, lodging in our luxurious, private accommodations, time with the coaches, etc. This is not a money-making effort on our part. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for cancellations. This is due to the commitments we've made to secure accommodations and other resources for the event. However, in the unlikely event that you are unable to attend, we will happily chat with you about transferring your ticket to another author.

You may also consider purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unforeseen circumstances. In the event that we need to cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, all registered attendees will receive a full refund of their registration fee

15. If you're not making money on this event, why are you doing this?

We love bringing people together who are otherwise isolated in their writing endeavors. It's lonely sitting at our computers surrounded by people who don't get it. I've dreamed of doing this for years and want to see if I can make this work! I'm also aware that authors have a lot of publishing costs. Since one of my goals is to remove as many obstacles from idea to book shelf as possible, I  want the cost of this retreat to be a gift and not a burden. And, of course, if you enjoy the experience, it's my honor to support you in your writing, editing, or publishing your book with or for you. Obviously, there's no obligation to do so.
