FAQ's

How much does your online tuition cost?   This depends on the level of support you require. Small Group Tuition is £20 per hour session.  Whereas one to one tuition is £38 per hour session (Most people only have one session a week). Workshops tend to be longer are priced individually.

What is needed for online tutoring? You will need a laptop, PC or iPad/tablet, and a good internet connection. You will need a webcam if you do not have one built into your device. Most newer devices have microphones built-in but do check as you may need a separate one (a standalone or via a headset). A mouse works fine for most students, however, if you prefer you can purchase a graphics tablet which can be useful for ease of writing. If you use an iPad/tablet, you can use a stylus pen or your finger for writing.

How does online tutoring work? Online tuition takes place using zoom.us, for video, and also BitPaper.io as our collaborative virtual whiteboard which allows both students and myself to write at the same time. I also share virtual resources through Zoom, this combination ensures engaging and interactive lessons. I will send you the instructions for downloading the zoom software, along with a link for the bitpaper (which is optimized to work in Chrome, Firefox and Safari).

Do you guarantee your work? I cannot guarantee that a student will pass a specific test, or earn a specific score in class or on any given test. I will however guarantee that I will strive to provide the best possible service. I will do everything in my power to help grades and skill sets improve. If for any reason I feel that I cannot adequately provide the student with what he or she needs, I will say so. Please see my /testimonials to view current and past clients’ feedback.

What our customers say

Final Say

It's important to me that you find the right tutor for your child. This is why I offer all new regular tuition clients a free half hour consultation via zoom to see how I work, if I'm a good fit for their child and to discuss areas they wish to work on. I am also more than happy to discuss (via zoom or phone) with any parent considering the workshops who would prefer this to sending their questions via email (dependent on mutual availability). If for any reason I feel that I cannot adequately provide a student with what he or she needs, I will say so.

My aim is to develop children's confidence and self-belief in their abilities, making learning an enjoyable experience, supporting children to develop both their self-confidence and attainment levels. I am passionate about promoting and celebrating mistakes as fantastic learning opportunities to help children to grow and thrive. Offering bespoke learning enables children to be involved in their own learning, thus lessons are always tailored to children’s individual needs and interests to help them reach their full potential. Supporting all children to build their confidence and self belief, enabling them to learn at their own pace.
