“We looked for a solution and when we found it we believed it,” Nathan said. It was an absurd answer, except that was what they had done.
“I know what you made. But what have you done? This will change everything.”
“What do you think it means?” Nathan asked.
“That it’s time,” Don said.
“Time for what?” Ethan asked.
“For me to challenge the entire system to a duel and see which one of us survives,” Don said, and he considered a plan to stay alive while everyone in the solar system who had power tried to kill him. As he considered it he smiled.
