Top 14 Techniques for Reducing Stress and Creating Inner Peace

OK, here is a list of how to do that which some of you will know all or some or maybe none of them. Firstly, the main points of how to reduce stress and create inner peace, and then more of an explanation from personal experience of what really worked for me to create inner peace.

What Are the Top 14 Techniques?

Lifestyle

    1. Take regular exercise
    2. Practice Meditation, yoga, guided visualisation and/or breathing techniques.
    3. Set boundaries in relationships, families and work.
    4. Get support from friends, family, colleagues.
    5. Assign “time-to-fret” then get on with day to day activities with enthusiasm.
    6. Take regular work breaks throughout the day.
    7. Take weekend or holidays away from obligations and worries to gain a fresh perspective.
    8. Express your creativity. Write, garden, paint, sing – or take up a new hobby or classes.
    9. Make a smoking cessation plan.

    Diet

    10. Reduce pro-inflammatory foods in the diet including saturated fats (meats, especially poultry, and dairy), refined foods, and sugar.

    11. Emphasise foods high in essential fatty acids such as oily fish and nuts / seeds.

    12. Eat a minimally processed diet rich in antioxidants, phytonutrients and bioflavonoids.

    13. Protein is essential for connective tissue support, and should be consumed regularly.

    14. Nutrients to support digestive health.


    I Know But...

    OK are you going to incorporate the ones that are missing into your life? Do you think they don’t really make a difference and hence that is the reason why you are not incorporating them?     For me I have spent my whole adult life studying many different ways I can -be the healthiest I can be - and I can hand on heart say that they have all helped but I haven’t had inner peace until the last few years.

    Yes, there can still be events that happen outside that are not nice and yes I can cry but inside I am good and at peace with myself.

    Yes, But How?

    By all of them over time but especially my diet, with yoga/morning exercise, meditation and breathing techniques and body and energy work. That finally brought inner peace for me. And no it won’t happen overnight or even maybe within a year. It all depends on you and your journey.
