My Testimonials

In case you missed how I have helped others here are a few of my client’s testimonials about me as a Practitioner and as a Teacher:

“After undertaking the Health MOT and a few other tests, the Ultimate Health Check discovered what was causing a skin condition that I’ve had for the past 30 years. After taking the supplements prescribed it has nearly cleared for the first time ever. This is after consulting with many hospitals, allergy clinics, Harley Street and even Dr’s in Switzerland and the Middle East. Amazing result!”

“I am a fitness instructor and I decided to book an appointment with the Ultimate Health Check to further understand how I could be healthier and was interested in the tests offered. I undertook the Food Intolerance Test and it showed me my intolerances and the link between that and my problems that were reoccurring. By reducing and then substituting certain foods shown from the results, my problems have reduced dramatically, making my body feel comfortable internally and significantly healthier.”

The best things in life are the things that we have learned and shared with other people, and you have taught me more than that, you shared with me your knowledge and overall your lifestyle. You demonstrated to me that we can be amazing human beings and put love in everything that we do. Thanks for sharing with me your time and your experience with your love. I liked very much your classes because of the kind of person that you are. You made all the theory easy for me to understand and you made the themes that seemed complex, interesting. I’m happy to have you in my life because I think that you taught me more than just the theory of your subjects. Thank you Deborah and I hope to see you soon

Deborah is extremely knowledgeable in many different areas of health and wellness and is an excellent teacher when it comes to sharing this knowledge. During my 200-hour yoga course she taught human anatomy, ayurveda, as well as Ayurvedic & Thai massage. She was able to cover the most important aspects of each topic and taught with a direct, to-the-point attitude which was much appreciated. She used a variety of teaching methods based on the subject, ranging from notes to visual diagrams as well as hands on and practical learning, benefiting all types of learners. I really enjoyed learning about Ayurveda and how I can incorporate some of the basic practices into my everyday life, as well as my yoga practice. Deborah was also very kind and considerate of the needs of her students, all around excellent teacher!

I had Deborah as an anatomy teacher and Ayurveda and Thai massage teacher. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about those topics. Anatomy was the thing I was dreading about my yoga training. I personally had no interest in learning body parts and name of body movements. Passed the moment of panic and fear about not knowing a thing, it didn’t take very long that I was enjoying myself during Deborah’s class. She has the capacity not only to share her knowledge but also to read her crowd and make it accessible to all levels. She always related the information to the yoga practice which is exactly what we are looking for as future teacher.
Adaptability is a major strength for her. She cares about receiving constructive feedback and she is able to make changes accordingly. She also makes good use of the resources around her. She changed her planning to include the experience and knowledge of the participant in our group so that we can learn from them. One was about organic food, one about the 12 steps, one about human design. She also took advantage of the background in dance of one of us to have us experienced dance meditation. She always makes sure that everyone makes the most out of this experience. You can tell that she comes prepare to all of her class and that she is a hard working person. Her sense of integrity is noticeable in the fact that she will search for the right information if she is unsure or if it is outside of her field of expertise. I personally enjoyed learning about the different doshas and Gunas. Now and then I caught myself trying to guess which type are some people around me while analysing their behaviour. The Thai massage was a hit for me. I just wanted to learn more about it. She planted a seed that hopefully will grow in me. Finally, what I really appreciated about her, was her humanity. She took the time to get to know the 16 of us on a personal level by sitting with different people during meals. I would have her as a teacher any time and I fancy the idea that maybe one day I’ll have the chance to work with her. Thanks for your work Deborah!

Deborah was one of my teachers during my YTT200 training. Deborah taught anatomy as well as Ayurveda and massage theory class. As an instructor, Deborah was highly knowledgeable and passionate about her subject matter. She was very thorough with her lessons, and made each student feel valued and heard. Deborah was very approachable, warm, and made us feel like she genuinely cared about us as her students. She also made herself available beyond the classroom for personal support/mentorship. I would highly recommend Deborah as an instructor! She was very dedicated and genuinely invested in not only our learning, but also our overall experience at the training in which she taught.

Earlier this winter, I had the wonderful opportunity of being part of
a yoga teacher training. One of the teachers was Deborah Cann. Ms Cann, was an absolute brilliant teacher! Her overall knowledge and the passion she had for the subjects she focused on, was for me, the best part of the course.
Ms Cann definitely had no difficulties in answering any of the vastly
in-depth questions I asked her. Her passion of the subjects (aryuvedic diet,
anatomy, and study of the human body as it pertains to yoga) was greatly enhanced by her charming and radiant personality. She has a strong ability to control the attention of the people she is teaching. A quality that is rare for many teachers. I cannot recommend a better equipped teacher than Ms. Cann!

Deborah taught us anatomy, ayurveda diet and nutrition (I found this one particularly interesting!) and massage. Deborah kept the lessons interesting and fun throughout, as well as flexible to suit our interests and help us learn around the subjects, for example one night Deborah taught Yoga Nidra, which suited all the students at the time because we were feeling tired but still wanted to learn something new and interesting! Deborah was an excellent teacher and she clearly had in-depth knowledge not only about yoga and anatomy but also all the surrounding elements that will help yoga practice, such as mind-set, connection and the power of touch. The information given by Deborah was digestible and as I was new to learning anatomy I found her teaching style helped, specifically trying out the poses ourselves with her direction as she came around the class. Deborah encouraged us to give presentations on one area of anatomy, although it was challenging it was a really useful exercise and helped cement the learnings. We were given constructive feedback and Deborah was kind in presenting this to us so we felt encouraged and confident to teach others. Deborah was helpful, friendly and always open to feedback. She was available and happy to answer any questions during and outside of class. I came away from the classes with lots of useful information that I will be using in my practice and teaching and also changes for my own lifestyle/personal benefit. Thank you Deborah for passing on your knowledge, you have been a great help and teacher.

Having Deborah teach us Anatomy/Ayurveda and massage was a wonderful experience! Deborah is calm and collected as a teacher, and easy to listen to..... she has some great teaching techniques in order for us to get our heads around complicated anatomy with practical sessions so we really could relate to the subject. Her Ayurveda workshops were great. We discovered how to diagnose the Doshas and how to determine how to treat specific problems relating to diet and general health. Massage class was always very lovely and relaxing! Over all it was wonderful to meet Deborah and learn from her, as we are always all still learning. Thanks Deborah.

Deborah has a wealth of information on a wide range of Eastern and Western healing therapies. Her knowledge is grounded in her own personal experience of healing and personal practice of yoga. This comes over as a genuine passion to empower others to use this knowledge and embody it in their practice. She is calm, kind and patient. Deborah always manages to bring a smile to her classes even after very long days when we were all cranky. She always showed up for us with her full attention and commitment to our learning and practical participation. Thank you Deborah.

Deborah is a wealth of information. She taught us about the important anatomy that yogis should know, including common injuries & prevention. She uses informational slides and videos to portray the concepts, as well as interactive hands on activities. She also shared with us a solid overview on Ayurveda. We learned all about the doshas and how we can use them to make decisions and understand ourselves and our clients more. I especially enjoyed her classes that covered Ayurvedic nutrition. We ended our nights with trainings in Ayurvedic and Thai massage. It was a lovely way to end a long day of asanas, especially when you get to be the demo person. :) I left the training inspired to keep learning more about Ayurveda and to use what I learned in anatomy classes to hopefully teach the safest and informative yoga classes possible. Thank you, Deborah!
