This self-paced online course was developed by an experienced pediatric occupational therapist.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: 

This course will help you unlock children's learning potential by enhancing visual skills. 

It addresses the importance of making sure that children's eye muscles are ready to focus and able to visually track for reading and writing.

It also discusses visual perception - how the brain interprets what the eyes see - which supports reading, writing, and math.

We often expect so much out of our children's brains before they are even physically ready for the academic task.

In this course, you will:

• Understand foundational skills that support visual skill development

• Learn what's needed from the eye muscles and the brain to support visual development in children

• Comprehend the visual system and how it develops in children

• Make sense of all areas of visual perceptual development  

• Master easy ways to embed visual and visual perception activities into daily play and learning routines
