SOPHIE:
"The Women Without Borders group was something I prioritised for my well being in 2020, with all the limbo feelings that Brexit had brought on in me.
I needed to discuss my confusion and heartache with women who understood and had very similar experiences of the situation to me. We explored themes of place, identity, belonging, ties with family and friends, and it meant so much to me.
It enabled me to voice, process my thoughts and even get support from the group as I decided to make a big decision to move back home across the border.
These women became my peer group online. It felt reassuring to see them on screen. I'm very thankful to all of them for listening and echoing some of what I was feeling, and also to Fra and Jill for facilitating the group in the first place with so much care, commitment, and sensitivity."
