Hollymead Elementary School PTO is excited to host the “We’ve Got Spirit” summer cheer camp. This non-competitive, skill based program is a great introduction into the sport of cheer. Kids will learn skills, play games, and participate in a showcase on the last day of camp. Whether they are a veteran or rookie, this camp is accessible to all levels and abilities. The program will be led by experienced instructor Katie Arostegui.
This is a half day camp open to all rising 1st through 6th graders.
Rising 1st, 2nd and 6th graders will attend camp in the morning-8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
There will be a short performance for the morning at 11:00 am
5 half camp days (20 hours)
Learn cheers, dance, jumps, kicks and basic stunts
Personalized choreography for final showcase (Friday)
Daily craft activity and snack
Themed days (wacky hair day, crazy sock day etc.)
1 instructor to 12 student ratio
1 wk. Cheer Camp (1/2 day) June 27th through July 1st. 8:00 am - 12:00 pm . Rising 1st - 6th graders.

Comfortable cross trainer or smooth bottomed shoes. No running shoes. Shorts (Soffe is recommended) and a cotton or breathable top. Hair should be up in a pony tail or in braids.
On Monday, please bring a solid white t-shirt (cotton) for the tie-dye craft.
Water bottle, sunblock, hat or other sun protection. Maybe consider water hydration packets on those really hot days. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel for stretching.
Arrive fed with a full nights rest! We will be moving the whole time and they will need a good breakfast to fuel their workouts. If they require a special snack, please pack that too. Otherwise a simple healthy snack will be provided (carrot sticks, applesauce, granola bar.)
Katie has been teaching dance and fitness for over 20 years and is highly skilled in working with all ages and and abilities. She is a 4x NFL cheerleader who knows how to brings the energy to keep her students motivated! She is an ACE certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and behavior modification specialist. She is Red Cross CPR, first aid and AED certified.
