This challenge will take us further beyond simply the yoga shapes. We will explore the emotion linked to each meridian pair, as well as touching on the physical benefits, mental and energetic qualities of the particular partnership of the day! 

You will leave with a mini toolbox to add to your daily life to help you to find balance through the more challenging moments in life 

ENJOY A DAILY 15-20 MINUTE YOGA PRACTICE FOCUSED ON 2 SPECIFIC MERIDIAN LINES

August 14th - Lung & Large Intestine Meridian Lines

The lungs are where the meridian circuit begins, the first contact of chi from the outside world blending internally. The quality of our breath dictating the health of our other organs inside. Explore shapes that awaken the heart and lung space. 

August 15th - Stomach & Spleen Meridian Lines

The stomach and spleen are the 2 organs most affected by our diet - both of food and the messages we allow ourselves to consume on a daily basis. Explore shapes that create space around the front of the thigh and torso, aiding to balance out front and back body 

August 16th - Heart & Small Intestine Meridian Lines

The heart is considered the supreme managers overseeing all of the workings of the body-mind. It's primary function is to rule the blood and circulation. Explore shapes that awaken the tissues of upper body and thoracic spine area

August 17th - Kidney & Urinary Bladder Meridian Lines 

The kidney bladder pairs are the foundation of yin and yang balance for all other organs. They are our storehouse of vital chi and need to be kept in balance. Explore shapes that awaken the inner thigh and heart space. 

August 18th - Liver & Gallbladder Meridian Lines

Liver chi co-ordinates and regulates the movement of chi everywhere within us, and is responsible for creating a calming inner atmosphere. Imbalances can see us with a fiery temper and mood! Explore shapes to open the outer and inner lines of the body!

WHAT IS MY DAILY TIME COMMITMENT? 

We will go live within the Yin Yoga with Caroline Facebook group every day at 1.30pm BST time for 15-20 minutes. You can also access the recording of the live session within this group for 2 weeks after the live date to watch at your convenience. 

WHAT ELSE IS INCLUDED? 

In addition to our daily Live Yoga session within Facebook, you will also receive a daily email delivered straight to your inbox. This email will include some knowledge around some information about the Meridian Line partnership of the day too. 

I HAVE NEVER DONE YIN YOGA BEFORE, IS THAT OK?

I love teaching yogis their first Yin Yoga class so it would be my pleasure to have you join me on this journey. If you have any injuries or are pregnant, please send me a private email to let me know so I can modify for you.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Caroline Layzell

Caroline is an E-RYT500 teacher with a playful yet grounding approach to yoga.

Caroline first trained in Yin Yoga, Chinese Meridians in 2015 (60 hours) and then Yin Yoga & Myo-Fascia in 2018 (65 hours) by Jo Phee who is one of the 1st certified Yin Yoga teachers in the world, previously a senior student and assistant to the founders of Yin Yoga themselves - Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley!

She also studied with Sarah Powers in January 2020 (70 hours).
