As an online course creator with an incredible community of students and alumni in 28 countries, I have been very lucky to have been able to share my original programs in Script Supervision, Story Editing, TV Writing, Feature Screenwriting, Directing and Creative Entrepreneurship with the world.
I have been especially grateful to the YouTube platform, since most people find me there at @schticktoscript
Over the past few weeks, both my Public Watch Time and Subscribers have increased substantially, so I thought this would be an excellent time to gamify the process and help the algorithm find my audience by spreading the love and doing a giveaway of a premium-priced course each time I hit the following milestones: 1,000 public watch hours, 2,000 public watch hours, 3,000 public watch hours and 4,000 public watch hours. *specifically, watch hours that are specifically measured by YouTube as being in 'the last 365 days'. These are easily trackable in my channel analytics.
As of this post, I am at 551 public watch hours, with over half of that time achieved in the last three weeks alone. YouTube algorithms tend to accelerate exponentially, so my goal is to get to the end of this contest and hit the 4,000 public watch hours by Christmas, but I'll honour the prizewinners and contest terms no matter how long it takes.
To enter, register for the contest here by joining my contest mailing list. You'll receive contest updates and occasional other news of interest (but I won't bombard you with too many emails or share your info with anyone, and you can also opt out at any time).
Then, simply watch any of the YouTube videos on my @schticktoscript channel and post a comment underneath with your favourite quote. That's it!
You can enter up to 4 times - one comment per video is eligible to the entered in the draw, up to 4 videos total for the duration of the contest.
Each time I hit the Public Watch Hours milestones, I'll announce it, then I'll do a live, public draw of everyone who posted comments.. having you registered for the contest here allows me to contact you right away and keep you posted on the progress. Everyone will remain eligible until I hit the 4,000 hours, so you can win more than once.
