WRITING FOR YOU

Simon Northouse is not a "New York Times" or "USA Today" bestselling author - hold that page - not!

He's not even big in Japan, and everyone's big in Japan!

He has yet to be nominated for the Booker T & the MG's Award or the Aretha Franklin Award for awards.

(Okay, I think that's enough times you've said award - Ed)

He is still waiting on a call from the Nobel Foundation to nominate him for the best work of fiction since Gladys Braithwaite's international bestseller, "My Bunion Just Exploded!"

The clock is ticking, guys and gals.

However, he ploughs on, in stoic fashion, with his writing.

If you enjoy stories that captivate and are grounded in a semblance of reality, characters that leap from the page, plots with more twists and turns than a contortionist's spine, tales of hope, and despair, filled with humour and emotion - then you may have found your next favourite author.

And to finish, a little quote from Simon - snaffled from an interview.

"Life, love, living, happiness, sadness, regret, and all the other crap that comes along with being alive on this planet - right now... you get up each day and march on!

And through the darkest days... there's sometimes, usually, occasionally, something to make you smile... or God forbid - even laugh.

That's my fallback. In my darkest hours, I have found great solace in humour.

The best humour is the one that makes you cry with laughter... and then cry with sadness - because that is life.

Never let darkness extinguish daylight."
